Here’s a simple answer to the conundrum: edible gummy flowers. Don’t freak out, these little guys are super easy and they are fun to create. They can be simple or they can be fancy; they can be made by adults and kids alike. Super easy, cheap, fast and they have a good quality look to them in the end. I love these little flowers.
The first time I made these I put them on top of chocolate meringue cupcakes. They looked like they were growing out of a little dirt cup. I even went so far as to dress up some M&M’s to mimic ladybugs and had them hang out under the supple gummy petals.
All you need are the following items: granulated sugar, rolling pin, cutting board, paring knife. Oh, and a box of Dots Gumdrops! I’ve posted a copy of the tutorial with my own pictures. The original post, made by Real Simple, includes a video tutorial. Check out both and get ready for a good time!
